The Plants With Purpose Garden

The Plants With Purpose Garden

This year, for the first time, the central garden feature will be co-designed and built by HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh in collaboration with Alan Williams of Landform Consultants. The Plants With Purpose Garden will highlight the importance of healthy soil and an understanding of how food is grown, and will reflect The Duchess’s love of gardening, and passion for encouraging people to grow plants with purpose. Her Royal Highness dedicates much of her time to championing opportunities for young people to forge a career in the British food industry, supporting sustainable food production, and engaging everyone with where our food comes from.

MASTER GARDENER COMPETITION

The much-loved Master Gardener Competition will return in 2026 with a series of stunning small garden plots inspired by a fresh new theme. Designed by a select group of highly skilled and passionate gardeners, the displays will showcase clever ideas, beautiful planting, and sustainable techniques. It’s a wonderful opportunity to gather tips and inspiration from some of the UK’s most talented green-fingered creatives.

Great British Plant Nurseries

The Great British Nurseries area at the Royal Windsor Flower Show will be bigger than ever before, bringing together some of the nation’s most loved growers, offering an inspiring variety of plants and expert advice. A highlight of the show, it’s the perfect place to discover new favourites for your garden and take home something truly special.

2026 line-up included Beth Chatto, Caley Brothers, Derbyshire Bonsi, Hampshire Carnivorous Plants,  Hardys Cottage Garden Plants, Harkness Roses, Hoyland Plant Centre, In the Garden, Jurassic Plants, Kitchen Garden Plant Centre,  Moore & Moore Plants, Ottershaw Cacti, Pennard Plants, Pheasant Acre Plants, Plantagogo,  Sienna Hosta, Tynings Plants, The Crown Estate and The Royal Nurseries.

Garden Makers Competition

The Garden Makers Competition shines a spotlight on the next generation of horticultural talent. Seven emerging designers – undergraduate students or recent postgraduates – will create imaginative small-scale gardens that highlight fresh thinking, creativity and sustainable practices. It’s a brilliant platform for the future stars of horticulture, and a chance for visitors to gather inspiring ideas to take home to their own gardens.
