Our Work

Raising funds for the charitable work of the Royal Windsor Rose & Horticultural Society.

We aim to inspire and nurture a passion for horticulture, nature, culinary arts and traditional crafts amongst the young people in our community.

What we do

We aim to provide enriching experiences to encourage children to step away from screens and reconnect with the natural world and grow a love for the outdoors. In an increasingly fast-paced and digital world, our objectives hold even greater significance. We support local schools and charities to help provide enruching outdoor, nature and craft based activites.

Rooted in well-being

We suport local schools in the region through community visits, equipped with wheelbarrows, tools and seeds! This year, we are thrilled to announce that 14 primary schools in our area will be participating in our Flower Show competitions displaying the wonderful and varied talents of our young participants.

Cultivating Community Connections

We are delighted to partner with Little Muddy Boots, a local community garden and nature club that provides outdoor education and play classes for children and young people. Their hands-on learning experiences cultivate a genuine appreciation for nature and the environment.

We are also proud to collaborate with Busy Buttons, a CORE charity that promotes creative expression through craft activities for young people from diverse backgrounds and varying abilities.

Our Impact

In 2024, we engaged over 650 children through school gardening and craft initiatives with Little Muddy Boots and Busy Buttons, including a special visit to Waltham Place, where children experienced a functioning organic farm firsthand.

In 2023, RWRHS funds supported a partnership with Centrepoint, a charity working to end youth homelessness. Together, we delivered a residential horticultural course, teaching young people gardening skills at various locations. This experience not only provided outdoor learning but also helped boost confidence and self-esteem.
