2015 will be an exciting year for our society, with the celebration of our 110th annual Summer Show.  Please make a note of the date which will be July 18th at St George’s School, Windsor Castle.
In preparation for this important show I would be delighted if you could join us for our annual member’s event:
‘Grow for the Show’ – 27th February, 7.00pm Gardeners Hall, Windsor, SL4 3DR

This event is free for members, £8 for non members and £5 if you present a copy of that weeks Windsor and Eton Express at the door.

I am extremely pleased to announce an amazing line up of very special guest speakers for the night:

Grow for the Show

  • Martha Collison, the youngest ever contestant to star in the hit BBC One cookery series the Great British Bake Off 2014
  • Harvey Stephens, Head of Savill Gardens and a life-long horticulturalist, passionate about roses
  • Mridula Baljekar, award-winning cookery writer and chef who also has her own line of gourmet products, of which her Rhubarb Chutney was awarded a Double Gold Star in the Guild of Fine Food Great Taste Awards
  • Dave Snowden, a Berkshire hobby cider maker who is turning his passion into a local business
Each of them will be sharing their passion and knowledge in their field of expertise to inspire you to take part in this years’ Summer Show.
There will be a range of cakes and treats on offer to try as well as refreshments provided by Cider Dave as well as our long term supporter, The Windsor and Eton Brewery.

On May 3rd 2012 we will be taking a group of members and their guests for a private tour of Dorney Court and its historic gardens.  After the tour we will be having a private supper in the famous and delightful walled garden.

This is a unique  event and we are restricted to 40 people.  The house is a private residence and only rarely opened to the public.

Tickets are now on sale via our on line shop.

This year we are honoured to have been invited by our President, The Constable and Governor of Windsor Castle, Air Marshal Ian Macfadyen CB OBE, to hold our drinks party in the Moat Garden at Windsor Castle.  This historic garden is not open to the public and is therefore a great privilege extended to our Society.  Places will be limited and tickets will be available through our secure on line shop or by post.  A communication will be going out to members in due course with details.
